Celebrating 71 Years in 2010

"All American history begins in Beaufort," Dr. Larry Rowland, Board Member BCHS, Professor Emeritus University of South Carolina Beaufort and noted author.

The original purpose stated in the BCHS constitution remains strong and significant today.  In addition to holding quarterly meetings with noted guest speakers, authors and historians, the society also supports the Beaufort District Collection room which contains a local history and archival collection at the Beaufort Public Library on Scott Street in Beaufort.

Meetings are held at noon with an optional lunch served at 11:30 am.  All meetings are open to the public with no reservations required.
